About Me
Hi, I’m Sagar.
I’m a backend engineer who builds systems that work in the real world. Not just code that runs, but code that scales, handles data well, and stays maintainable months or years down the line.
I started my journey like most developers: learning syntax, picking up frameworks, and trying to make things work. Over time, I realized that it’s about breaking down problems, making thoughtful decisions, and building things that can grow over time.
Writing code is just one part. Understanding trade-offs, keeping things simple, and thinking long-term matter just as much.
Right now, I work as a Senior Software Engineer, primarily with Laravel and PostgreSQL. I spend most of my time designing backend systems, organizing codebases, and solving the kind of practical problems that show up in production.
What I Care About
- Building systems that don’t break when traffic grows
- Writing code that is easy to test and maintain
- Clear communication in code reviews and team discussions
- Thinking about performance early, not as an afterthought
- Handling edge cases, not just happy paths
- Understanding trade-offs instead of chasing “perfect” solutions
Outside of work, I like sharing what I learn. I write about backend development, system design, databases and experiences from real projects. My goal is simple: help other developers avoid the mistakes I made and grow faster.
What I Believe
- Nobody knows everything
- There’s no perfect time to start
- Learning never really stops in tech
- Small improvements over time create big impact
- Feedback makes both code and people better
